Agenda: Coordination of communication methods between Japan and Egypt, and Japanese-side plans
- It was agreed to establish a weekly coordination meeting, to be held on Fridays at 17:00 Japan time / 10:00 Egypt time. The next meeting is set for February 6.
- Xu Donghe (Japan) gave a presentation on multi-variety cultivation of sorghum and maize, experiments on saline soils, and plans for quinoa cultivation.
- The group discussed sowing times and conditions for sorghum and maize, concluding that both crops can be planted twice—April to May and July to August—using ordinary irrigation methods in both saline and non saline soils. Khalid will present a detailed schedule at the next meeting.
