Japanese researchers, Dr. Shuichiro Yoshida and Dr. Kazuhiro Nishida, assisted with maintenance at experimental farmland contracted in Mushia (Atef’s farmland) and Rashda (Gibril’s farmland).
July 22–24 – Mushia: A data logger was installed on the soil moisture sensors that had been set up previously. The installation of a flow meter in the traditional irrigated farmland downstream had been planned, but was postponed to the next visit due to a mismatch in pipe diameter.
July 22–24 – Rashda: Among the three soil moisture sensors that had been installed previously, a data logger was attached to the central one. In addition, two flow meters were installed at the water intake section.
