Dr. Marwa Sayed and Mr. Shuyo Nodasaka reported that the first version of the mobile application was expected by the end of June. The group emphasized the need to define clear user requirements and basic functions for the platform, such as enabling farmers to report water leaks, canal damage, and pest issues.
Dr. Masaru Mizoguchi stressed that the platform should initially focus on one or two key issues rather than attempting to address everything, suggesting that the team start with simple tasks and expand later. The results of farmer focus groups conducted in April and May were also reviewed, revealing that farmers are more concerned about palm tree growth, fertilizer, and soil issues than water problems, contrary to the initial assumptions.
